I often teach that “Praising” God is different from “Thanking” Him. Praising God “is Him centered while thanking God is me centered.” But another way of saying that is that we “Praise God” for who He is and the “Thank God” for what He does.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and[a] knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Romans 11:33-36 (NIV)

A Prayer Call that was all PRAISE. We think this short 1:07 video will encourage you.
In this 50 second video David Karanja expresses what I hope all people learn, when I teach, namely, that there IS A DIFFERENCE in Praising God and Thanking God.
- We praise God for WHO HE IS
- We thank God for WHAT HE’S DONE
