Healing

22 Lessons on Healing, Reborn

Let this 18th Century German Theologian Challenges us Today.

EACH LESSON IS A 5-9 MINUTE VIDEO.

Will you humble yourself so his teaching can encourage you?

It can. It will. But it won’t be easy:

In 1728, John Frederick Stark wrote this 600+ page Daily Handbook.

We are using the 1855 version which when translated, brilliantly opens our eyes to the patient suffering with illness.

Some of you will struggle with his assumptions about God, but I think that is healthy for us, as the Body of Christ.

After all, a little challenge is necessary if we are going to allow ourselves to truly be humbled.

Our nation needs healing. Our world needs healing. And we will do our best to bring you the Biblical healing, John Frederick Stark shares with us.

We will read his short dissertations, and the added Prayer and Hymn (or Poem) which he provides.

And we will give you VERY LITTLE commentary from us. Let the Holy Spirit do that. Each lesson is only 5 – 9 minutes long.

Unity Amid Diversity

Unity Amid Diversity

Unity Within the church.

Resurrecting a post from December 2018.

Here are a couple of excerpts from this Christian Index Article:

“It was humbling to me,” Collins said, “to know that we can meet under one roof in a world that seems so disunified right now. We came together as one people and worshiped Jesus Christ. . .”

The different-yet-same theme was probably best exemplified during worship. Zion Baptist worship leader Wayne Rickard led familiar songs such as “Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart” and “Amazing Grace.” Everyone sang in his or her own language.

“I saw one person crying, saying she’d never experienced anything like this. Others told me the same thing. They thanked us for loving them, making them feel welcome, and helping them worship in their native language. When one pastor spoke, the other groups could see the translation on the screen behind him so we could all hear the message.”

Helping You Get Thru Covid-19

My board has authorized me to give you these digital versions, FREE.

Need I say more?

ENJOY!

All the books are stand alone, so it doesn’t matter the order you read them. But, if you’ll allow me, I’d read them in the following order:

  1. Divided Nation (Christian Persecution in the USA, after we ACCIDENTALLY spread the next pandemic)
  2. Divided Together (Our unity is in Christ, NOT the Ballot Box, but some of these church members do not know that)
  3. The Pray-ers, Book 2, Spiritual Warfare
  4. The Johnstown Tragedy, God In Its Midst
  5. The Pray-ers, Book 1, Troubles

I never realized it until now, but I wonder if the reason I want you to read in this order is because my writing gets gooder and gooder over time, and these are in the reverse order of their publish date? Hmmm.

Oh well, enjoy.

EMail Stewardship

EMails, EMails, EMails. They can become a real pain, REAL FAST!

So we at Common Thread Ministries make you 2 committments:

  1. We will NEVER beg and plead for money. NEVER! And hear me, I’m not judging anyone’s ministry. When this ministry started, God said He’d take care of the dollars so I can do ministry. Therefore, the purpose of our posts is singular, to “Rebuild the Foundations of Prayer” (Psalm 11:3).
  2. Our E-Letters (EMails) will only go out once every week to 10 days (usually). EXCEPT FOR DECEMBER, when we do something real fun for all 31 days.

We also make UNSUBSCRIBING, VERY EASY for you to do.

Did we cover everything?

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the prayer-insights.

Blessings,
