Oh Lord, thank You for the Promises that You make for our souls to be filled. How true it is that YOUR goodness in our lives is satisfying. Lord, I trust You to satisfy my soul, so that I will not be satisfied with anything else, and that I will see Your likeness in my life. Thank You Lord…

NOTE: Look back 5 days ago, to February 24th and see a prayer regarding satisfaction, in a different context.

Friday the 17th will be here soon.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to all of you meeting each other.

Psalm 46 (HCSB, with additions)

Psalm 46:1-3 (God comforts by His strength)
Psalm 46:4-7 (God comforts by His presence)
Psalm 46:8-11 (God comforts by His works)

Psalm 46 (HCSB)
God Our Refuge
For the choir director. A song of the sons of Korah.
According to Alamoth.

1
God is our refuge and strength,
a helper who is always found
in times of trouble.

2
Therefore we will not be afraid,
though the earth trembles
and the mountains topple
into the depths of the seas,

3
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake
with its turmoil.
Selah

4
There is a river—
its streams delight the city of God,
the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

5
God is within her; she will not be toppled.
God will help her when the morning dawns.

6
Nations rage, kingdoms topple;
the earth melts when He lifts His voice.

7
The Lord of Hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Selah

8
Come, see the works of the Lord,
who brings devastation on the earth.

9
He makes wars cease throughout the earth.
He shatters bows and cuts spears to pieces;
He burns up the chariots.

10
“Stop your fighting— (HCSB)
“Cease striving— (NASB1995)
“Be Still— (KJV)
and know that I am God,
exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”

11
Yahweh of Hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Selah

To Martin Luther this was a COMFORTING Psalm. His hymn: “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” is a paraphrase of Psalm 46.
