Focusing on: Students and Supporting Mature Saints
the Precept (Principle)
Romans 12:1b
Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
the Promise (from God)
Jeremiah 32:39a
I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear Me for ever.
our Prayer (to God)
Psalm 142:7a
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Thy name.
Take each Precept and Promise and Prayer and pray them back to the Lord as one prayer
FREE prayer helps are always available on our Prayer-Basics-Page
NOTE: Over the next few years, graduates, you will define and redefine, “reasonable-service” to your employer. Always go back to Scripture’s view, namely, “that which is acceptable to God.” Older saints, you can help your graduates here, by openly and honestly sharing some of your pitfalls and some of your successes.
TURNING THE ABOVE DAY’S VERSES INTO A PRAYER
Oh Lord, I praise You that I can submit myself to You, dying daily (1 Corinthians 15:31) and being in one heart with my brothers and sister. Lord, let the end result be us fearing, or awing You forever. You are the one who has saved us, and You are the One we will praise for ever and ever.
NOTE: What do you think is the “prison” in Psalm 142:7 above? My question is, by application, to YOUR life, what prisons do you need to be rescued from? Consider, what sins, you keep confessing to God, over and over and over again.
