Psalm 2:11

Think on the way you pray.

Does it have the reverential awe we hear in those timeless words. . .

Our Father who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name.

Perhaps not.

Perhaps your prayers are too “familiar” with the Lord?

Sometimes we just need to be still and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10)

Our passage above is not meant to scare us but to encourage us. Do you remember the words of the “Jesus-Movement” song,

He’s Everything to Me

In the stars His handy work I see

On the wind He speaks with majesty

Though he ruleth over land and sea

What is that too me. . .

I’ve always loved that song.

Reverently come before the Lord, my friends. After all, He’s the Ruler over land and sea.
