My Dear Pray-ers,

Our Resources are the focus of today’s E-Letter :

When we have the various resources we do, explanations are periodically needed. We won’t explain all of them, just a few of them.

We will look at those written by Mark
— including Prayer Classics from over 100 years ago, and
Then we’ll look at those he recommends
— and why he recommends them

BEWARE that further down this E-Letter there is a HALF-OFF sale.

Written By Mark

The Pray-ers, Book 1 “Troubles” is Mark’s first fiction novel. He often teaches that, “if you want to learn how to pray, then get around people who pray.” So in his novel the men and women model prayer for us. Expect to see some angels and demons, but in a “dialed way-back” sense. We think you’ll like his approach.

Rainbows of Promises is A CHILDREN’S book, dedicated to helping kids associate prayer with the Word of God. Also, this book is from 1887. Mark has retained the graphics from 1887, with its verse written in “children-ease” and then he has simply added a prayer, based upon the verse. See below.

As you read one or two of these per night to your kids and/or grand-kids they will eventually begin to associate prayer with God’s Word.

This is Mark’s 3rd book written in the Prayer Made Alive Series. Here he captures all 25 of Paul’s prayers, records them on prayer cards, writes a prayer for you to use and then notes to broaden your prayer. He often uses this book when he teaches Praying Scripture Back to God.

This should give you an idea of what each page looks like inside.
Forgive me for sounding like a salesman, but let me suggest that if you also want the cards you can buy the book and then download the cards directly to your computer, if you take advantage of the Half Off Sale.

This book is an incredible little book that you will want to read again and again. David MacIntyre (1859-1938) writes with insight into prayer which showed him to be dedicated, nay, devoted to prayer just as Paul described in Colossians 4:2.

If you have heard me speak you know that I say, “These Yada Yada books are, well, not my preference, BUT EVERY woman I’ve talked to about them LOVES them. So does my wife and this is why they are here. Neta Jackson and her husband have written 12 or 14 of them, so obviously they are worth it. I don’t know!

With Ruth Bell Graham sharing these prayers you cannot go wrong. They are down to earth practical prayers that makes a great little gift book for more than simply looking good! These are GREAT prayers.

This is a sobering book about two missionaries who were kidnapped by the terrorists that they were missionaries to! With all that is going on in our world today, you will find it a challenge to read. . . but you will be glad you did.

Enjoy our tote, made originally to go with our novel above, people just enjoy it!

OUR HALF OFF SALE

Last February we ran this kind of a sale, which was WAY OUTSIDE my comfort zone. But y’all liked it! So here is another one. And thank you for the various ways that you support Common Thread Ministries.

A Few of Reminders

A New Post Category, Prayer In The News, which we are very excited about. Mark takes news items where prayer is mentioned and then brings a scriptural grid to the items. BUT, if you’re thinking he’ll merely confirm your thinking, think again. You might be surprised the way he asks you to view the article.

You might find him challenging your status quo.
